What is Reiki?
Reiki is the Universal Life Energy that exists and flows within all living things. The Reiki energy is the principal energy of our thoughts, emotions and spiritual self. It plays a predominant role in everything we do. When this energy is freely flowing within us, we feel a high overall sense of life and health. When this energy becomes blocked or restricted, a dis-ease in mind, body or spirit can occur resulting in pain or illness. Reiki is a healing technique, not a religion and is compatible with whatever religious or spiritual beliefs one has.
Reiki is a form of alternative healing often referred to as energy healing. Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful technique that uses the Universal Life Force energy that flows through the body to heal and balance the mind, body and spirit. The word “Reiki” is derived from the Japanese word Rei meaning “Universal Life/Spirit” and ki meaning “Life Energy”. Reiki energy healing is used to promote relaxation, reduce stress, anxiety and pain, release emotional blockages, balance chakras, support the body’s natural healing and improve overall health and quality of life.
About a Reiki session…
I am a Usui and Kundalini Reiki Master with attunements to DNA, Past Life, Birth Trauma and Diamond Reiki. Each session will be intuitively and uniquely guided based on your energetic needs. You are asked to just be opening to receiving what is in your greatest and highest good.
Reiki energy flows through the practitioners hands, so they may gently lay their hands on or above the client's body and will move about the body, organs and chakras based on where they are being guided by the Reiki energy for healing.
A recipient of Reiki may or may not feel shifts in energy, changes in temperature (warmth/chills), tingling, a glowing energy or a sense of deep relaxation.
What to expect following a Reiki session…
A session may leave one feeling a new found sense of clarity, balance, grounded and an overall sense of peace. Some say they feel more energetic and some may need a bit more rest that day. The hours and sometimes days following a session, energetic shifting may continue to occur and I encourage one to be open and allow space for this continued healing. It can be helpful to use movement, journaling, or meditation to process the emotions. I encourage you to also drink more water, minimize alcohol before and after a session, and allow for extra rest if needed.
Receiving Reiki on a continuous basis will support balance within the mind, body, and soul. I recommend you listen to your body and soul and receive energy healing when your mind, body and soul feel out of alignment. One knows themselves best...just listen. Once you feel that sense of balance and alignment, you will crave the energetic balance and want to continue to live an improved quality of life.
How does Distant Reiki work?
Energy knows no blocks, so can be passed and exchanged anywhere at any time, therefore Reiki can be done from afar. We do not need to be in the same space in order to send or receive Reiki. In Reiki there are several different symbols used to invoke various aspects during energy healing. One of the Usui Reiki symbols is a “distance symbol” or the hon sha ze sho nen. It’s meaning is “having no present, past, or future”. This symbol is used to send Reiki energy across space and time. Since everything is energy, I, the practitioner, am able to invoke the distance symbol and link to your energy field and pass energy through you, clearing blocks. Many people truly enjoy the virtual experience which allows them to remain in the safety and comfort of your own space and home. Distant Reiki often moves quickly, thus allowing for a shorter session with greater shifts occurring.
